Rudolf Helmhacker

Rudolf Helmhacker (* 1841 in Rokitzan ; † May 24, 1915 in Prague ) was a Bohemian geologist and mining engineer.

Helmhacker studied at the University of Prague and the Technical University of Prague, at the Technical University of Vienna and at the Mining Academy in Příbram , graduating as a mining engineer in 1864. He was an engineer at the Prague Iron Industry Company and from 1865 in Rossitz . In 1874 he became a private lecturer at the Bergakademie Leoben , where he became an associate professor in 1874 and a full professor of mineralogy, geology and paleontology in 1875. From 1881 he worked as a mining engineer in Eastern Siberia.
