Rudolf Hiessl

Rudolf Hiessl (born May 31, 1949 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Rudolf Hiessl learned the trade of retailer after attending compulsory schools . He then worked for 12 years as a specialist consultant in the office machinery and office supplies industry in the field. Later he switched to the advertising and gift items industry and earned his living as area and sales manager in western Austria.

Hiessl, who found his center of life in the market town of Rum , was also elected to the local council for the ÖVP in 1980 . He was a member of this group for 12 years, until 1992.

From 1985 to 1989 he sat for a legislative period in the Tyrolean state parliament for his party . After retiring from the council of rum Hiessl moved in January 1993 as a member of the Federal Council of Vienna . As a Federal Councilor, however, he only served a year and a half until April 1994.
