Rudolf II (Baden)
Rudolf II of Baden († February 14, 1295 ) was the second son of the Margrave of Baden Rudolf I and his wife Kunigunde von Eberstein from the Eberstein noble family . Until the death of his father he was nicknamed the younger , after his death to distinguish it from his brother Rudolf III. , the youngest son of Rudolf I, the nickname the elder . Rudolf II was a younger brother of Margrave Hermann VII. It is not clear from the sources whether he ruled together with his brother after his father's death (1288).
Rudolf II married Adelheid von Ochsenstein , widow of a Count von Strassberg . From her first marriage Adelheid had a son and two daughters, one of which, Gertrud , the wife of Rudolf III. has been.
