Rudolf Indlekofer (* 1910 in Basel , † 1997 in Davos ) was a Swiss publisher and art collector .

collection

The formerly extensive art collection of the Basel printer and publisher Rudolf Indlekofer (BDV, Basilius Presse) grew out of the friendly relationship and collaboration with Ernst Beyeler , whose gallery catalogs he had been printing since the 1950s, and out of contacts with artists and art writers. Following the Swiss tradition, the high quality and modern design and publication of the art book was a special concern of Indlekofer. He also collected wooden sculptures, objects and reverse glass painting, for example by Mijo Kovacic. Artistic works, prints, lithographs and Leporellos and were created with Warja Lavater and Germain van der Steen (1897–1985) , among others .
