Rudolf Kait

Rudolf Kait (born November 25, 1900 in Vienna ; † February 20, 1947 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

The career and life of Rudolf Kait is only partially known. After attending compulsory schools, he learned the profession of hat maker and worked in this profession from 1921. In the late 1920s he was elected guild master of his guild. In 1938 he had to give up the function after a decision by the Nazi regime.

His brief political career did not begin until after the Second World War , when he was elected first to the district council in April 1946 and later to the deputy district chairman in the Vienna district of Favoriten . In September 1946 he resigned from both positions. After the death of Federal Councilor Karl Tolde , Kait was sworn in in July 1946 in his now vacant office.

However, Rudolf Kait died just seven months after taking office after a long and serious illness in February 1947. He was only 46 years old. His grave is in the Vienna Central Cemetery .
