Rudolf Kristofics-Binder

Rudolf Kristofics-Binder (born January 24, 1896 in Čakovec , Kingdom of Croatia and Slavonia , † October 22, 1969 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and businessman. From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

Kristofics-Binder attended a commercial academy after primary and civil school and then studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna, where he completed his studies with the academic degree Dipl.-Kfm. completed. He initially worked as an adjunct on the property of Count Festetits and was subsequently employed as a dispatcher and branch manager of the Atlantis company in Zagreb . He also worked as a bank clerk and later took over the Vinzenz Buid company from his late father-in-law. Most recently, he was also a board member and managing director of Wollwarenverkaufs-AG Vienna-Günselsdorf. He was awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor.

Kristofics-Binder was involved in commercial organizations such as the Wiener Kaufmannschaft and acted as President of the Chamber of Commerce, Commerce and Industry. In 1938 he was taken into “ protective custody ” for political reasons . He represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 19, 1945 and November 8, 1949.

Kristofics-Binder is buried in a grave of honor at the Protestant cemetery Simmering at Vienna's central cemetery .
