The Route nationale 3a (RN 3a) is a 180 km long asphalt national road in the province of Alaotra-Mangoro in the center of Madagascar, northeast of the capital Antananarivo . It branches off from the RN 44 at Andilanatoby and heads northeast via Amboavory (Vohitraivo) to Andilamena . The RN 3a is not far from the western shore of Lake Alaotra , the largest lake in Madagascar.
