Rudolf Mauz

Rudolf Mauz (* 1961 in Tübingen ) is a German clarinetist , composer and music teacher .

Life

Rudolf Mauz studied at the State Academy of Music in Trossingen majoring in clarinet at Waldemar change. Concerts (as a soloist, as a chamber musician and orchestral musician), including numerous world premieres, have taken him to several countries. Since 1991 he has been teaching at the Tübingen Music School (also head of department and orchestra leader). From 1991 to 2000 he also held a teaching position at the State University of Music in Trossingen and since 2013 he has also been teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart .

For many years he has led seminars, workshops and teacher training courses, is a lecturer in chamber music and orchestral courses and a juror at competitions.

Rudolf Mauz is a composing author at Schott Music (textbooks, play and study literature, books) and in “Fascination Clarinet” ( Prestel Verlag ) and a founding member of the German Clarinet Society.
