Jarmund / Vigsnæs AS Arkitekter is a Norwegian architecture company based in Oslo .

Development of the company

The corporation Jarmund / Vigsnæs AS was founded in 1996 by Einar Jarmund and Håkon Vigsnæs. Alessandra Kosberg has been the third partner since 2004. The range of work carried out extends from huts and single-family houses to large public buildings. The style is characterized by the critics as “super modern” to “neo-minimalist”.

In 2007 the work of the architecture office was exhibited at the São Paulo Architecture Biennale .

Einar Jarmund

Jarmund (born April 20, 1962 in Oslo) graduated from the Oslo School of Architecture in 1987 and obtained his master's degree in 1989 from the University of Washington in Seattle , Washington, USA. He had his own architectural office in Seattle until 1992 and then worked for architects in Seattle and Oslo. In 1994 he formed his first architectural association in Oslo, until he merged with Håkon Vigsnæs in 1996.

Jarmund is on the board of the Oslo Architects' Association

Håkon Vigsnæs

Vigsnæs (born May 5, 1962 in Oslo) graduated from the Oslo School of Architecture in 1988 and then went to the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London . He lectured at his alma mater and was visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis , Missouri , USA. He worked as an employee at Sverre Fehn and Hagen Arkitekter before opening his own office in 1993 and joining forces with Einar Jarmund in 1996.

Vigsnæs is on the board of the Oslo Architects' Association.

Alessandra Kosberg

Kosberg (born August 27, 1967 in Oslo) graduated from the Oslo School of Architecture in 1994. She has worked at Jarmund / Vigsnæs since 1997 and became a partner there in 2004.
