Rudolf Meinl

Rudolf Meinl (born May 2, 1934 in Liebenau / Böhmen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school, Meinl attended the Technical University of Dresden , where he became a graduate engineer . He was active in research and development work in machine tool construction and in development and construction for handling technology on machine tools. He was also a member of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft .

In 1952 Meinl joined the CDU. He was a member of the CDU business association Chemnitz . From 1987 to 1990 he was city district chairman of Karl-Marx-Stadt-West, from 1990 to 1992 he was deputy city chairman of Chemnitz. From May 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the city parliament of Chemnitz. From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the German Bundestag . He represented the constituency of Chemnitz I as a directly elected member.
