Rudolf Neumayr

Rudolf Neumayr (born March 2, 1845 in Neulerchenfeld , † June 11, 1903 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect of the Ringstrasse era .

Life

Few facts are known about Rudolf Neumayr. He was the son of the landowner Georg Neumayr from Neulerchenfeld, a former suburb of Vienna. After attending secondary school, he graduated from the Polytechnic Institute from 1861 to 1865 . Since 1876 he can be found in the Vienna address book as an architect.

Neumayr's narrow work, as far as is known, consists of several buildings in Vienna's Ringstrasse zone. These correspond to the usual standard of the representative city palace in the historicist style. Neumayr is not one of the most outstanding architects of that era, but his buildings are in not unimportant places.
