Rudolf Nocker

Rudolf Nocker (born August 25, 1946 in Obergermaringen ) is a German communications engineer and professor of electrical engineering at Hanover University .

Life

After studying communications engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Nocker worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Braunschweig from 1972 to 1973 . This was followed by four years at the research department of Siemens AG in Munich . In 1981 he received his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich at the Institute for Telecommunications.

From 1978 to 2010 Nocker was professor for communication technology at the University of Hanover .

Nocker invented a digital messaging system with multiple access and decentralized switching technology, which was patented in several countries (e.g. United States Patent US4124776A from 1978).
