Remigijus Žemaitaitis

Remigijus Žemaitaitis (born May 30, 1982 in Šilutė , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian politician and lawyer who has been party leader of Tvarka ir teisingumas since 2016 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2000 at the 1st grammar school in Šilutė, Žemaitaitis completed his master's degree in law (specialization: commercial law) at the Vilniaus universitetas from 2000 to 2005 . From 2006 he studied economics at the Vilnius University International Business School in Vilnius .

From August 2002 to July 2005 Žemaitaitis worked as a lawyer in UAB “Dervira” and in 2004 in the Supreme Electoral Commission. From 2004 to 2005 he was a specialist at the 2nd Vilnius District Court , 2005 assistant judge , from 2005 to 2007 assistant to the chairman of the Vilnius District Court , from 2007 to 2008 adviser to the mayor of Vilnius Juozas Imbrasas , in 2009 adviser to EU politicians such as Rolandas Paksas and J. Imbrasas.

From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the Seimas , chosen in the constituency Šilalė - Šilutė instead of Zigmantas Balčytis , who was elected to the European Parliament and the position in the Seimas was vacant. Since 2018 he has been deputy to Seimas President Viktoras Pranckietis .

He has headed the Tvarka ir teisingumas party since 2016 .

Žemaitaitis is married to Živilė Žemaitaitienė, a lawyer who is a legal assistant at the "ADLEX" office.
