Rudolf Saar (association official)

Rudolf Saar (born January 26, 1896 in Vienna ; † August 29, 1986 ) was an Austrian singer functionary.

Life

Saar was born as the son of a wagon entrepreneur. At the age of 18 he became a member of the Ottakringer Liederkranz , which he chaired in 1924. In 1948 he joined the Vienna Men's Choir . When the Austrian Choir Association was founded in 1949, he was initially Vice President. In 1955 he took over the office of President from Theodor Bernhard. After his resignation he was made honorary president.
