Rudolf Scheide (born December 24, 1908 in Wolfenbüttel ; † unknown) was a German SS leader .

Life

Scheide attended elementary school until 1922 and then initially worked in agriculture. After casual work and voluntary work, he worked in the sugar factories in Schladen in the early 1930s . Scheide joined the NSDAP in 1929 ( membership number 93.508) and the SS in 1930 (SS number 2.351). After the takeover of the NSDAP vagina belonged to from March 1933, the SS Headquarters Guard Berlin, which later became the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler emerged. Scheide commanded a motorized SS company from 1938 to the end of September 1942. On October 1, 1942, Scheide became head of the BV (transport) office in the SS Economic and Administrative Main Office(WVHA). In January 1945 Scheide achieved the rank of SS-Standartenführer of the Waffen-SS .

After his arrest, Scheide and 17 other accused were indicted before the United States Military Tribunal II in the Economic and Administrative Main Office of the SS . Scheide was acquitted on November 3, 1947, on all charges, war crimes , crimes against humanity and membership in criminal organizations. His leading activity in the WVHA and his SS membership were not punished because there were no incriminating testimonies or evidence against Scheide. Nothing is known about his further life.
