Rudolf Schuller

Rudolf Schuller (born June 2, 1916 in Erdőszentgyörgy ( Austria-Hungary ), † January 30, 1995 in Cluj-Napoca ) was a Hungarian writer and translator .

life and work

Rudolf Schuller studied French literature, comparative literature and psychology at the University of Cluj-Napoca and was a lecturer in French literature there until 1949. After his release because of his bourgeois origin, he lived as a writer, translator and private teacher in Cluj until his death.

Schuller wrote prose and translated into Hungarian from Romanian, German, Italian and French. His pseudonym was Pávai Mihály. The novel Narcisszusz was published in 1943.
