Rudolf "Rudi" Sturz (born November 18, 1952 in Ansbach ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

career

Sturz played a total of 86 regional league games for 1. FC Nürnberg from 1971 to 1974 , in which he scored 15 goals. From 1974 to 1977 he was used 103 times in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored 17 goals. In total, he wore the club jersey 344 times.

The Ansbacher was a home grown of 1. FC Nürnberg and was brought into the first team by coach Tschik Čajkovski . The 1973/74 season was remarkable, in which he scored 12 goals this season as a defender.

After his time at the club, he played at FC St. Pauli , TSV 1860 Munich and, together with Wolfgang Frank and Ulrich Pechtold, at FSV Bad Windsheim.

Sturz worked as a trainer at TSV Vestenbergsgreuth (February to May 1991), at DJK Ammerthal and from 2002 to 2006 at FC Kalchreuth, where he played almost every week in the regional league as a 51-year-old. In 2006 he moved to TSV Cadolzburg, where he was promoted to the Nürnberg district league in 2007.

In the 2007/08 season he coached the district league team of ESV Ansbach-Eyb . There he replaced Bernd Müller as head coach.

From 2009 to 2012 he coached the first men's team of 1.FV Uffenheim , with which he was promoted from the district league Frankenhöhe to the district league Middle Franconia in 2011.

Since July 2012 he has been the coach of the first men's team of TSV Schnelldorf in the Frankenhöhe district league.
