Rudolf Valenta (sculptor)

Rudolf Valenta (born September 27, 1929 in Prague ; † April 26, 2015 in Berlin ) was a Czech sculptor , painter and graphic artist who lived in Berlin. In 1967 he was a founding member of the group “ Club of Concretists ” and co-organizer of the 1st symposium “Spatial Forms” in Ostrava , ČSSR . He was also a co-founder of the Systema group .

Life

In 1970 Valenta emigrated from Czechoslovakia to London and came to West Berlin in 1974 with a DAAD scholarship .
