Rudolf Weber (musicologist)

Rudolf Weber (* 1937 ) is a German musicologist and was rector of the University of Hildesheim from 1990 to 1995. He is a professor emeritus at the University of Hildesheim .

Live and act

Rudolf Weber began studying elementary school teachers in Osnabrück in 1959 with the elective subject of music, and from 1962 taught as an elementary school teacher in Heiligenrode. In 1965, in addition to his assistantship at the Osnabrück University of Education, he began studying musicology , pedagogy and psychology at the University of Münster . In 1972 he received his doctorate there with the dissertation: Franz Schubert's symphonies in an attempt at a structural-scientific representation and investigation. In 1973 he became academic councilor, senior councilor and then professor for music didactics at the University of Osnabrück. In 1983 he became a professor at the University of Hildesheim .
