Rudolf Werner Ackermann

Rudolf Werner Ackermann (born October 30, 1908 in Barmen ; † December 20, 1982 in Düsseldorf ) was a German painter .

life and work

Ackermann studied at the arts and crafts school and the Prussian higher technical school in Wuppertal. From 1930 to 1936 he studied music. Then he continued painting as his personal artistic means of expression. He then worked as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf.

He was with Elisabeth "Rouge" Ackermann, geb. Schneider (1935–2012) married.

Memberships, exhibitions

Member of leading artists' associations (Chairman of the Malkasten Künsterlerverein , Düsseldorf).

Represented at official exhibitions at home and abroad. Works are owned by the federal, state, industrial, public and private collections at home and abroad.

  • 1973: Cross des Ordre Mérite Belgo-Hispanique and appointment as a knight
  • 1974: Exhibition Prize - International Exhibition Italia 2000, Naples
  • 1974: Silver Medal - International Exhibition of Contemporary Art, Lyon
