Rudolf X. Ruter

Rudolf X. Ruter (born December 18, 1953 in Krumbach ) is a German economist , author , tax advisor , auditor and management consultant . He is an expert in sustainability and corporate governance , a financial expert within the meaning of the German Stock Corporation Act , member of the advisory board of the German CSR Forum, member of the advisory board of the Financial Experts Association and chairman of the advisory board of Wohninvest Holding GmbH .

Education and professional career

Ruter studied economics at the University of Augsburg from 1974 to 1978 and completed his studies with a degree in economics . From 1978 to 2002 he worked for Arthur Andersen (since 1988 as managing partner / partner) and was a. a. responsible for the public sector and administration (Public Services) and was a co-founder of the German Public Corporate Governance Code. Ruter passed the tax advisor exam in 1982 before being appointed auditor in 1984.

From 2002 to 2010 he was a partner at Ernst & Young with numerous responsibilities: including Head of Public Corporate Governance and Sustainability at Ernst & Young in Germany / Austria / Switzerland and Head of Business Risk .

More functions

Ruter was the founder in 1990 and the first chairman of the Chardonnay Freundeskreis Stuttgart until 2010.

He was founder and 2008-2013 head of the working group Sustainable Management in Schmalenbach Society of Management eV

Ruter is an accredited trade journalist and a member of the Federal Association of Trade Journalists for Corporate Governance and Sustainability and is the author of numerous specialist publications and writes regular columns in the online magazine CFOworld and for the umbrella company German Interim Management (DDIM) as well as in the Huffington Post. In numerous lectures he has expressed himself on the topics of sustainability and corporate governance.
