Rudolf von Erlach
Rudolf von Erlach (* around 1299 in Bern ; † 1360 in Reichenbach Castle , today the municipality of Zollikofen ) was a Bernese knight from the von Erlach family .
According to the chronicler Konrad Justinger , he was the leader of the Confederates in the Battle of Laupen in 1339 and led them in the fight against Freiburg in 1340 . However, only the latter is documented.
In honor of Rudolf, the Erlach monument was erected in Bern , which is now on the Graben promenade .

Erlachstrasse in Bern has been named after Rudolf von Erlach since 1877.
