Rudolph Krebel

Rudolph Krebel (* 1802 , place of birth unknown; date and place of death unknown) was a 19th century German military doctor living in Russia .

Life

Little is known about Rudolph Krebel's life. In 1823 he received his doctorate in Halle with a dissertation "De anatomia pathologica ossium capitis". In the 1830s he was a medical officer at the Seehospital in Kronstadt . On the title page of a book published in Jena in 1847, he called himself Imperial Russian Councilor, Knight and Medical Officer in Saint Petersburg .

From 1844 to 1860 Krebel was next to Maximilian Heine and Karl Heinrich Thielmann editor of the Saint Petersburg magazine “Medicinische Zeitung Russlands”.
