Ruedi Klapproth

Ruedi Klapproth (born October 8, 1925 in Saalfeld / Saale ; † June 15, 2012 ) was a young Swiss writer .

Life

Klapproth's father was an architect, his maternal grandfather a shoe retailer in Lucerne . His parents lived temporarily in Germany, so Klapproth was born as a Swiss abroad in Saalfeld / Saale. After his parents returned to Switzerland in 1932, he lived in Lucerne, where he completed his education at the Realgymnasium . After completing his commercial diploma, he first worked as a commercial clerk before completing the teachers' seminar in Hitzkirch and working as a primary school teacher from 1958 to 1972 . After acquiring a teaching diploma for language teaching, he taught German at the cantonal kindergarten teacher seminar in Lucerne until 1990 .

Klapproth lived in Alpnach in the canton of Obwalden since 1974 . His urn is buried in the cemetery of the Hofkirche St. Leodegar in Lucerne.

Klapproth published his first book for young people in 1970. «Klapproth's trademark has always been that he was able to combine tension with committed content in careful language. For decades, he has also delighted schoolchildren all over Switzerland with his readings. "
