The ruin Bürg is the ruin of a hilltop castle that was built as a medieval residential tower in the 13th century in the Swiss community of Frutigen in the canton of Bern .
Location and description
The tower stands at 1129 m above sea level. M. on a hill above the village of Frutigen. It is protected on two sides by trenches and was built in such a way that it was in visual contact with the surrounding Chutzen and the Tellenburg . Today remains of the foundation walls can still be seen.
