Ruki Tobita ( Japanese 飛 田 流 輝 Tobita Ruki ; born May 7, 1999 in Kawaguchi , Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese snowboarder . He starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Tobita won the Japanese Slopestyle Championships in March 2018. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he started the World Cup in Cardrona for the first time and finished 27th in Big Air. In the further course of the season he finished in the top ten four times in the World Cup, including third place in the slopestyle in Mammoth and thus reached seventh Place in the Slopestyle World Cup and fifth place in the Freestyle World Cup and Big Air World Cup. At the season highlight, the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , he came in 36th place in slopestyle. In the 2019/20 season he finished second in the Slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi and in Calgary , winning the Slopestyle World Cup.
