Daniela Brückner

Daniela H. Brückner (* 1963 in Wesel ) is a German judge and political officer . Since August 1, 2019, she has been State Secretary for Justice in the Berlin Senate Department for Justice, Consumer Protection and Anti-Discrimination .

Life

education

After graduating from high school (1983 in Schriesheim ), Brückner began studying law , which she completed from 1983 to 1989 at the Universities of Mannheim , Madrid and Heidelberg and graduated in 1989 with the first legal state examination at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. This was followed by a legal clerkship at the Mannheim District Court from 1989 to 1992 . During her legal internship, Brückner also obtained a law degree from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. In 1992 she completed the second state examination in law before working on her comparative law doctorate on the subject of “Comparison between the procedure of the Spanish Recurso de Amparo and the German constitutional complaint” until 1994 . From 2014 to 2016 she completed part-time training on the subject of justice management.

Professional background

In 1994 Brückner entered the judicial service of the ordinary courts of the State of Berlin. She was subsequently until 2010 a. a. at the Berlin regional court and the district courts of Köpenick , Tiergarten and Charlottenburg . In 2010 and 2011 she underwent a trial by the higher court at the Court of Appeal , worked as a research assistant at the Constitutional Court of the State of Berlin from 2011 to 2013 , before taking over the management of the insolvency department of the Charlottenburg District Court in 2013. At the beginning of 2019 she was appointed Vice President of the Lichtenberg District Court .

On August 1, 2019, Daniela Brückner was appointed State Secretary for Justice by the Berlin Senator for Justice, Consumer Protection and Anti-Discrimination , Dirk Behrendt ( Senate Müller II ) . She became the successor of Martina Gerlach , who had been retired.
