The Rumbler Rock (from English rumbler 'rumbling' ) is a pillar of surf in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5.5 km west of Bonaparte Point off the southwest coast of Anvers Island .
A Royal Navy hydrographic unit carried out its survey between 1956 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the noise that occurs when the waves break on this rock from a south-westerly direction.
