The runestone 3 by Østermarie ( Danish Østermarie-sten 3 - also called DK Bh 53 or DR 392) is first mentioned in 1624 in the priest's report. It lay as a threshold stone in front of the church's Karnhaus . Part of the inscription was hidden under the wall. The stone was taken in 1867.

The rune stone stands with rune stone 2 by Østermarie and two other stones between the new church and the church ruins of Østermarie on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea . Its state of preservation is good. The stone is 1.7 m high, 1.05 m wide and 25 cm thick. The lower part, which was used as a door threshold, is badly worn.

The decorated rune stone made of granite belongs to the group of late Bornholm stones from the transition period between the Viking Age (800 to 1050 AD) and the older Middle Ages (1075–1125 AD)

The text reads: “Barne and Tue and Asgot had the stone set up in memory of Sibbi, her brother. May Christ help (his) soul ”. The ornament consists of an Irish belt that holds the serpentine straps. A cross is cut into the back of the stone.

The deceased Sibbe appears together with the brothers Barne and Tue on the runestone 2 by Østermarie (Bh 52). The inscription is typical of the Bornholm runic inscriptions. Atypical is the word position in the soul formula, in which the verb ( hialpi ) is usually behind the topic ( Kristr ). Usually the pronoun in the soul formula is "to be".

The rune height is 11.5 to 16.0 cm. Single points are used as word separators. The contoured font is in frame bands with outer and inner frame lines. An outer band runs along the edge of the stone and continues in a loop in the middle of the stone.

The runestone 1 from Østermarie is the Gyldensåsten , which today stands at Svaneke Church. The Runestone 4 of Østermarie is in a small grove south of the bridge, at Gyldensø, east of Østermarie.
