Runestone from Västerhaninge
The runestone of Västerhaninge ( Samnordisk runtextdatabas Sö 237), known since the 17th century, is a rune stone that stands as a gate post at Hof Fors, south of Västerhaninge in the municipality of Haninge on Södertörn in the south of Stockholm County in Sweden . The stone is 1.8 meters high, 1.2 meters wide and 30 cm thick. The runes are nine inches high.
The decoration on the stone consists of two almost perfectly mirrored snake bodies, each with an Irish paddock and a large animal between the snakes.
The inscription reads: "Tove and Tägn had the stone carved after Fastbjörn, Tägn's father and Tove after his son Anund."
The rune stone Sö 238, which is said to have stood in the village of Fors, has disappeared.
The urine gesture stands nearby .
