Rupert Stettner

Rupert Matthäus Stettner (born July 25, 1945 in Passau ) is a German lawyer, professor of public law and former rector of the Munich School of Politics .

Life

Stettner received his doctorate in 1973 under Peter Lerche at the University of Munich with a dissertation on Article 18 of the Basic Law and the Prohibition of Professional Practice under Criminal Law . Then he was from 1973 to 1982 research assistant at the University of Augsburg , where he in 1982 with the work of the basic questions of competence teaching habilitation .

From 1983 to 1995 Stettner worked as professor for public law at the University of Bamberg , from 1995 until his retirement in 2010 he was professor for public law at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . In 2005 Rupert Stettner was elected Vice-Rector of the Munich School of Politics, and in July 2010 Rector.

He is a member of the advisory board of the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing.
