Russell John Griffiths (born April 13, 1996 in Gravesend ) is an English football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with Chester FC .

Russell Griffiths began his career in the Youth Academy of FC Everton . In 2015 he began to gain experience in the men's field when he was awarded to the lower-class clubs Northwich Victoria , FC Colwyn Bay and FC Halifax Town . From August 2016 he was used 24 times for half a year as a professional during a loan to the English fourth division club Cheltenham Town . It was then awarded to the Scottish first division club FC Motherwell from January to May 2017 . After returning to Liverpool , the 21-year-old moved permanently to Motherwell a month later . He now plays for Chester FC.

National team

Russell Griffiths played three times for the England U-20 team in 2015 . Opponents were the Czech Republic , the Netherlands and Germany .
