Russian ingot
The Russian bar is a device used in the circus and variety show . The individual rod has a strongly oval cross-section with a width of approximately 15 centimeters and a height of 5 centimeters. The entire device is about 5 meters long and very elastic. For an improvised do-it-yourself construction, two pole vault poles are sometimes glued together.
Two sub-persons are required, facing each other at the ends of the bar. The bar is placed on one shoulder, the slightly bent arms secure the position of the bar. The aviator is usually a very light person and is in the middle on the parallel bars. Sitting, standing and handstands are common positions. The acceleration required for the somersaults is achieved by reinforcing the first light jumps of the flier by the two subordinates, similar to the principle of the trampoline. However, the subordinates must compensate for the aircraft's deviations and anticipate them by correcting their position to the side.
