Russian March 2008

The Russian March is an annual demonstration since 2005 by monarchists , conservative Christians , but also right-wing extremists in Russia . The marches will be held on November 4th in honor of national unity in Moscow and other cities.

Attendees

Several thousand people come to the demonstrations in Moscow alone. Participants are ultra-conservative Orthodox Christians , families with children, but also nationalists , neo-Nazis , hooligans , skinheads , neo-fascists and racists . Alexei Navalny , a leading opposition activist, warned against labeling all demonstrators as right-wing extremists who made the Hitler salute. The vast majority are made up of normal people. He has not participated since 2013.

requirements

The demonstrators are calling for Lenin to be removed from the mausoleum, wanting to leave "Russia to the Russians" and turning against guest workers from Central Asia and the Caucasus . Civil rights activists and migrant associations criticize, the demonstrations deepened ethnic tensions.
