history

The fort , built by the Russian-American company before 1817, goes back to its agent Georg Anton Schäffer . In autumn 1817, the settlers of the company of left with Schaffer the island and the fortification was of Scottish officer Alexander Adams on behalf of King Kamehameha I. repossessed.
