Exterior

Breeding history

Breeding of this horse breed began around the beginning of the 20th century. The basis was primarily the Ardennes and Brabantians , but also the Percheron and Swedish and Belgian draft mares. The Orlov trotter also served to improve the breed characteristics .

The priority breeding areas are Russia ( Urals ) and Ukraine . Because of its strength and undemanding nature, it is mainly used there as a workhorse, but also as a food supplier.
