The Argentine Ruta Nacional 3 is one of the most important highways in the country, although it is not part of the Panamericana network.

The road begins in Buenos Aires and leads from there over 3045 kilometers south through all of Eastern Patagonia via Bahía Blanca , Trelew , Comodoro Rivadavia and Río Gallegos to Ushuaia , the southernmost city in the country.

Between the Río Gallegos and Tierra del Fuego , the road runs a little through Chile .

The road at Comodoro Rivadavia was expanded into a road in 1928 by the Argentine road construction authority Vialidad Nacional .

Cultural meaning

The street is one of the most popular venues in Argentine road movies , such as B. El Viaje (1992) and Caballos Salvajes (1996).
