Ruth Atkinson
Ruth Atkinson (born June 2, 1918 in Toronto , † June 1, 1997 in Pacifica ) was a Canadian comic book author and cartoonist .
Using the stage name R. Atkinson , Atkinson was one of the first women to enter the North American comic book industry. She is u. a. the inventor of the Marvel Comics series Patsy Walker and Millie the Model and was one of the first employees of Stan Lee . Other series include Boy Meets Girl (Lev Gleason Publications), Clipper Kirk , Skull Squad , Suicide Smith , Wing Tips (all Wings comics), Tabu (Jungle Comics), and Sea Devil (Rangers Comics).
