Ruth Bisibori Nyangau (also spelled Ruth Bosibori ; born January 2, 1988 in the Kisii Central District , Nyanza Province ) is a Kenyan obstacle runner .

She had her first international appearance at the Pan-African Games in 2007, where she won the first edition of the women's 3000 meter obstacle course. She finished fourth at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka , and shortly afterwards she set the current junior world record with 9: 24.51 minutes.

In 2008 she won bronze at the African Championships, improved her personal record to 9: 18.43 minutes and qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing .

Ruth Bisibori Nyangau is 1.66 m tall, weighs 50 kg and, like many other runners in her country, is employed by the Kenyan police . She wears shoes in training but prefers to run barefoot in competitions.
