Ruth Carter Stapleton

Ruth Carter Stapleton (born August 7, 1929 in Plains , † September 26, 1983 ) was an American Baptist preacher .

Life

Ruth Carter was one of four children of James Earl Carter (1894-1953) and Bessie Lillian Gordy (1898-1983). Her older brother is former US President Jimmy Carter . After a severe depression in the 1950s, she practiced and advocated Inner Healing , an approach that includes physical exercises in addition to spiritual rebirth , prayer , meditation , psychology and dieting . Stapleton ran Behold Inc. , a not-for-profit organization that promoted their religious views and beliefs.
