Ruth Faltin

Ruth Faltin (born September 29, 1906 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † June 12, 1995 in Wolfsburg ) was an East Prussian painter and graphic artist.

After attending the Lyceum , Ruth Faltin first studied at the Königsberg art and trade school with professors Otto Ewel and Ernst Grün. She then moved to the Königsberg Art Academy , where she studied with Franz Xaver Wimmer until 1931 . After studying in Berlin , Faltin returned to East Prussia . In 1939 she finished her training as a master class student with her own large exhibition in the rooms of the state master’s studios. Faltin had previously made a name for himself with the exhibition “East Prussian Art 1937” in the Hamburger Kunsthalle . From 1939 Faltin worked as a freelance painter. After fleeing from East Prussia, she finally settled in Wolfsburg. She was a member of the Esslingen Artists' Guild
