Ruth H. Witteler-Koch
Ruth H. Witteler-Koch (born May 24, 1947 in Iserlohn ; † April 20, 2019 ) was a German journalist and politician ( FDP ). From 1985 to 1995 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .
Life
Witteler-Koch, who graduated from college in 1967, was a foreign correspondent and office manager from 1965 to 1971. From 1971 to 1982 she worked as a PR assistant and press officer. From 1982 to 2014, it was as a freelance journalist and PR consultant self- employed.
Witteler-Koch joined the FDP in 1975. From 1979 she was a member of the Mönchengladbach City Council and from 1984 to 1985 she was deputy chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group. From 1985 to 1995 she was a member of the tenth and eleventh state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia. It moved into the state parliament via the list places 5 (10th electoral term) and 14 (11th electoral term). From 1985 to 1990 she was deputy chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group, from 1990 to 1995 a member of the culture committee. In addition, from December 1994 to June 1995 she was deputy FDP federal chairwoman.
Until 2000, Witteler-Koch was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Art and Culture of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 2002 to 2005 she was Vice President of the DPRG , and from 2005 to 2008 she was chairwoman of the North Rhine-Westphalian DPRG regional group.
Ruth Witteler-Koch was married to a lawyer and had two daughters.

In May 2003 she was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .
