Ruth Ospelt

Ruth Ospelt (* 1959 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein sports official . She was president of FC Vaduz from 2013 to 2019 .

Life and career

Ospelt completed an apprenticeship as a ceramic painter . She later worked as a telephone operator for a bank, for a TV station, as a kiosk seller, in the Vaduz Art Museum and for the crystal glass manufacturer D. Swarovski . When she was 35 she traveled through Central America for a year .

In 2003 she became assistant to the manager of the soccer club FC Vaduz. After a year and a half, she stopped working in the management of FC Vaduz to take care of her sick father.

Today Ospelt runs a real estate management and trading company. She is also involved in refugee aid and for a school in Tanzania . Ospelt is divorced.

Sports official

At FC Vaduz, she was involved in the Premier Club patrons' association, of which she was president. She is also a member of the club's VIP club.

In 2010, Ospelt was appointed Vice President of FC Vaduz. After the resignation of club president Albin Johann, Ospelt was elected as the new president of the football club in September 2013. After six years in office, she decided that she did not want to run for office again and thus resigned in September 2019.
