Ruth Strauss (born March 14, 1963 in Southend-on-Sea ) is a former English squash player .
Career
Ruth Strauss was active as a squash player in the 1970s and 1980s. At the national level, she has won the national junior title several times. With the English national team she took part in the world championship in 1983 and became with her runner-up behind Australia . In the final, she remained without a mission. In the same year she defended the title with the English team at the European Championship , which she had won for the first time in 1982. Between 1979 and 1989 she was four times in the main draw of the world championship singles. In 1981 and 1983 she achieved her best result with the last sixteen.
