Ruth Zutt

Ruth Zutt , b. Lever (born July 11, 1928 in Speyer , † June 29, 1987 in Heidelberg ) was a German economist and politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school, Zutt began studying economics, sociology and political science at the universities in Heidelberg and Paris , which she completed in 1953 with an examination for a degree in economics. From 1954 to 1959 she worked in her parents' shipyard in Speyer and at the same time was employed by a business correspondent in Paris. From 1973 to 1977 she held an honorary position as an administrative judge.

Zutt was one of the founders of the SDS in Heidelberg in 1950 and was its chairman in 1952/53. She joined the SPD in 1970 and was elected to the state executive committee of the SPD Baden-Württemberg in 1977. From 1978 to 1983 she was Baden-Württemberg's state chairman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (AsF). Zutt was in the federal election in 1980 over the national list of SPD Baden-Württemberg in the German Bundestag voted, which it belonged until her death. From 1983 to 1987 she was a member of the Budget Committee and the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry. In 1987 she was also a member of the Legal Committee.
