Ruven Gruber (* 21st February 1995 ) is a Swiss Floorball - goalkeeper .

Career

Gruber played for Thurgau as a junior for floorball until the end of the 2010/11 season . At the beginning of the 2011/12 season, Gruber switched to the U21 juniors of the UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen . After a strong season, Gruber was definitely included in the men's NLA squad. On March 22, 2016, HC Rychenberg Winterthur announced on its website that Ruven Gruber would be between the posts for the 2016/17 season. Ruven Gruber replaces Patrick Eder, who has migrated to Floorball Köniz .

During his first season with Winterthur, he was able to advance to the Cup final with the HCR. He lost this with HC Rychenberg Winterthur 8: 7 against their canton neighbor GC Unihockey . On April 18, 2018, HC Rychenberg Winterthur announced that the contract with Gruber had been extended for two more seasons.

U19 national team

Gruber was used for the first time in 2011 at an official tournament of the Swiss U19 national team . On the U19 Euro Floorball Tour 2011 Gruber managed 22 saves and conceded 13 goals. Ruven Gruber received the award for best player in an international match against Finland . In 2013 at the U19 World Cup in Hamburg, Gruber was elected to the World Cup all-star team because of his performance.
