Ryōji Noyori Prize
The Ryōji Noyori Prize ( Japanese 野 依 賞 , Ryōji-shō ) of the Society of Synthetic Organic Chemistry Japan (SSOCJ) has been awarded since 2002 in asymmetric synthetic organic chemistry .
This includes methods of organic synthesis that differentiate between stereo isomers ( enantiomers ), which is important for the synthesis of biologically important substances.
The prize was donated in honor of the Nobel Prize for Ryōji Noyori (2001) and is sponsored by the Takasago International Corporation . It is awarded annually and is worth $ 10,000.
