Ryōta Aoki ( Japanese 青木 良 太 Aoki Ryōta ; born August 19, 1984 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Aoki learned to play soccer on the school team at Funabashi High School . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2003 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2005 . In 2007 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club, he completed 13 first division games. In 2008 he moved to league rivals JEF United Chiba . At the end of the 2009 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 109 league games. In 2013 he moved to league competitor Roasso Kumamoto . For the club he completed 63 league games. At the end of 2016, he ended his career as a football player.
