Ryūji Kitamura ( Japanese 北 村 隆 二 Kitamura Ryūji ; born March 15, 1981 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kitamura learned to play football on the school team at Zuyo High School and the university team at Aoyama Gakuin University . He signed his first contract in 2003 with the Nagoya Grampus Eight . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2005 he moved to FC Gifu . At the end of the 2007 season, the club rose to the J2 League . For the club he completed 83 league games. In 2009 he moved to Matsumoto Yamaga FC . At the end of the 2011 season, the club rose to the J2 League. For the club he completed 75 league games. At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
