The Ryam Sugar Factory Railway was operated by the Ryam Sugar Factory in Bihar , India .

The Ryam Sugar Factory in 1914 as Tirhut Co-operative Sugar Co Ltd established. It is located in the current city of Raiyam , 15 km northeast of Darbhanga . The sugar factory operated two narrow- gauge, 2- foot (610 mm) gauge railroad lines to transport the harvested sugar cane from the sugar cane plantations to the factory:
- The 14 km long route to Mokaddampur remained in operation until the sugar factory closed in 1994.
- The 10 km long route to Sakri , a station on the Darbhanga-Bhaptiahi Branch Line of the Bengal Nagpur Railway (BNR). This line was taken out of service much earlier.
Stationary steam engines
The steam engine of No. 1 Mill had serial number # 2619 (1932) from Mirrlees, Watson (one cylinder, 24 "× 48", 273 hp, Corliss valves, factory price Rs 16,000). One of the steam engines from Nos 2, 3 and 4 Mills had serial number # 2423 (1914) from Mirrlees, Watson (one cylinder, 300 hp, piston valves, factory price Rs 15,000).
